ISLANDMAGEE GB GROUP
Want to have fun? Learn new skills and take a break from exams and schools? Why don’t you join us at GB every Monday night (September – April).
GB is an international faith-based organisation for girls, with over 200,000 members across the world, and it aims to see ‘girls’ lives transformed, God’s world enriched.’ It is the largest youth organisation in NI with 23,000 members. In 2013, we will celebrate our 120th birthday!
Girls’ Brigade offers a programme of fun activities for girls, designed to educate, challenge and inspire along with Christian teaching that is relevant and meaningful to girls today. You can find more information on the GBNI website (www.gbni.co.uk).
In 2011/12, our theme was 110% YOUnique and we explored how we were created individually by God with very unique talents.
GB Moto
We meet on Mondays between 6.15 – 7.15pm for lots of fun and giggles. Every week, we sing, dance, make crafts, play games, use sticker books and explore Bible stories. We also have special party nights!

We meet on Monday between 7.30 – 9.00pm. Last year, we explored the issue of worth and how we value ourselves. We also learn new skills and spend time chilling out. We had great fun on our Christmas trip to the roller rink, attended the Wrapped Up GBNI worship event and our annual ‘Night at the Flicks night.’ We also raised over £200 for Charlene’s Project.
Celebration Night
At the annual Celebration Night, we celebrate the girls’ achievements throughout the year. All parents, friends and family are welcome to join us as we distribute the awards during this fun and dynamic evening in March/April.
How can my daughter join?
Girls can join any time during the year (September – April), but your daughter must be three years old.
Our next Drop-In Registration Night is on Monday 17 September 2012. You can pop down any time between 6.30pm and 7.30pm and complete the registration forms as well as submit the subscription fees (around £16.50 per girl and £30 per family).
Our first night of GB will Monday 24 September 2012.
Please note that there is no GB in June, July and August.

Islandmagee GB group has an enthusiastic and passionate team of young leaders. Each leader has comprehensive training certified by GB HQ, in areas such as child protection, programme planning, leadership skills, practical skills, safety etc.
